I love your lessons for Beginning Cantonese! Are you going to do numbers and 'Taxi' Cantonese soon? I'll be in Hong Kong soon.

Please, go to _____.

m4 goi1, heoi3 _____.

呢度停,唔該。

Stop here, please.

Keep the change.

Hope it helps. Please let me know if you need more or if you have a sentence in mind that I didn't cover. Have fun in Hong Kong:)

This is great! 多谢晒

What about street numbers? If is ask 'how much' 幾錢?, what will the answer be?

Hi Jane,

I found a webpage that includes the Cantonese numbers from 0 to 100 (it uses Yale though):

http://www.sf.airnet.ne.jp/~ts/language/number/cantonese.html

In Cantonese, street numbers come after the street names. For instance,

'80 Tai Chee Avenue' is 太子道80號, where 道dou6 is avenue and 號hou6 is number.

As for the answer to 幾錢, it'll usually be the amount plus the name of Hong Kong dollar (蚊 man1). For instance, 90 HKD (九十蚊,gau2 sap6 man1).

Hope it answers your question.
